DZ: Could’ve been as I do reside in the area.
Question: What is your favorite chamois cream?
DZ: I tried them all and for sure the best is DZNUTS.
Question: Will you be writing a book?
DZ: Many…
Question: What’s your favorite comic?
DZ: Batman The Dark Knight.
Question: Can you give an example of what a training session is like?
DZ: Balls to the wall.
Question: Cardboard DZ was awesome on stage at the Tour de France! Can I get one for my house?
DZ: I hope so soon…I am working on getting some made.
Question: Do you have a favorite bike?
DZ: The Cervelo California Project but I don’t have one.
Question: Do you have any tips for a beginning rider?
DZ: Be consistent with your training and it will pay off.
Question: What is Yield to Life? And why did you start it?
DZ: It is a non-profit organization I started to raise awareness about road safety for both cars and bikes.
Question: Now that you are a Vegan, what has the experience been like?
DZ: It’s pretty easy in California and more of a challenge when traveling. I am enjoying it though.
Question: Can you recommend a good book, or recipes, for a vegan lifestyle?
DZ: I started out with the Thrive book by Brendan Brazier. I think it’s a good starting point for people new to the vegan lifestyle.
Question: What did you like best about Comic-Con?
DZ: Hanging with that many people who like the same stuff I do.
Question: Who’s your favorite band or musician?
DZ: I did name my son after Waylon Jennings…but I like a lot of music and my favorites are always changing.
Question: How much does your bike weigh?
DZ: Too much…7 something Kg’s
