Congratulation for your decision
Regards from Spain
dave you take good care of yourself and don’t fall off that trampoline, okay?
my maternal side says you look too skinny for december but my superhero side says goddam you look bulletproof!!! are you turning into some sort of HIGH OCTANE SECRET WEAPON or what??!!!
take names and numbers but i dont think anybody is gonna catch you from sacramento to so-cal in the spring.
toujours!!
Adam – The tramp is the bomb…couldn’t wait to get that delivery and set-up. I’m looking forward to the Amgen Tour for sure. Should be a good one. Love the course.
The diet thing seemed to work for Horner and he had a great 2010. You’ll take overall at California in 2011.
On a side note, how are you liking the rain in LA?
I see lots of Marvel collectibles, any Star Wars?
Thanks Eric – I had no idea that Horner had even altered his diet. Thanks for bringing that to light. If Chris can cut out fast food then anybody can do it. He was an addict. The rain comes and goes. I do like Star Wars, and I’m going to have to get a few things.
hey dave,
congrats on the move to a plant based diet. I share your belief that the human body is absolutely capable of performing at higher levels when nutrition is coming 100% from plant sources. I’m really pumped to see how this season goes for you with the diet change.
I know the Garmin crew is known for their attention to detail with things like diet…so I assume you are on top of it, but:
what are you supplementing with at this point?
It took me a few years of experimenting with the vegan diet to get to the point where I felt like I really getting stronger and recovering quicker than I could be with an “omnivorous” diet.
The 80% of the improvement came when I started supplementing with superfoods and a few other products.
It’s probably a bit long for this space, but I’d love to share what i’ve done if you want to shoot me an email.

Thanks Graham – I’ve pretty much been basing a lot of my ideas of the book, THRIVE, by Brendan Brazier. It’s working very well for me.
Congrats on the new diet! I chose to become vegan almost 13 years ago and can’t imagine going back.
Check out the Veganomicon for a great cookbook to use at home. When eating outside of your hometown, check out http://www.HappyCow.net to find vegan-friendly restaurants all over the world.
Good luck this coming season!
